I am a fashion enthusiast and which is also my profession. I travel to various cities to attend fashion shows to draw inspiration and develop new ideas for my work. Recently I visited the capital city of India i.e. New Delhi to attend a fashion show.

 I was quite excited for this trip and hence I booked my travel as well as hotel room around a month in advance via a popular travel website so as to get the best deals on my travel. Here is an account of all the experiences that I had on my trip to Delhi. So stay tuned for all the insights.

Train travel from Agra to Delhi

Agra to Delhi not much of a distance so I searched for all the trains operating between Agra and New Delhi on the Indian Railways website and booked the CSTMJAT Special/ train number 02171 for my journey.

I booked my train tickets for the AC three - tier which cost me around Rs 540 for one – way trip. The train departed from Agra Cantt (AGC) at 4:05 am and reached New Delhi (NDLS) station at 7:25 am. The journey was quite comfortable as the train was neat and clean and there was on – board catering service as well. The train reached New Delhi station on – time from where I took the cab offered by my hotel that took me to my abode in the city.


Country Inn & Suites by Carlson Satbari, New Delhi

I prefer luxurious stays and hence I searched for the entire list of hotels in the city online and booked the Carlson Hotel Delhi as it is one of the most highly rated five star properties strategically located at the Chattarpur Road, Satbari which is well connected to all the prominent locations in the city via public transport. The check – in time for the hotel is 2 pm and the check – out time is 12 pm. The hotel features 37 air conditioned and spacious rooms with all the modern conveniences for a lavish stay.

Mosaic – Crowne Plaza Restaurant


After the fashion show I went out to explore some of the popular food outlets in the city. Mosaic is a lovely fine dining option located in Rohini, New Delhi. The restaurant specialises in Italian, North Indian and Chinese cuisine. I really enjoyed their buffet spread which is the main attraction of this place

The live music and luxury dining offered by this restaurant made my food experience very pleasurable. The best part about the Mosaic restaurant is that it is open for 24 hours thus satisfying the cravings even at odd hours. There is a dedicated smoking area and full bar service as well.
